Aston University employs a multi-stage selection process:
Applications are initially assessed based on achieved academic qualifications (GCSEs) and Old UCAT score. Applicants are ranked, and those who rank highly are invited for an interview based on available slots.
The performance across academics, UCAT scores, and the interview is then used to create the final ranking. SJT is not considered in the selection process.
Aston Medical School does not score the personal statement, but it is read alongside the referees’ comments and used in the interview shortlisting process. You may discuss aspects of your personal statement during the interview.
The interview is held online in the Multiple Mini Interview (MMI) format.
Note: Medical knowledge will not be tested during the interview.
A-Level resits are accepted, but only if the initial results meet the entry requirements.
