Brunel University follows a two-stage selection process:
Personal statements and references are checked to ensure applicants meet the minimum academic requirements. Applicants who meet or are predicted to meet the academic criteria move on to Stage 2.
Applications are ranked based on UCAT scores. The highest-ranked applicants are invited to interview. For those who have no UCAT/GAMSAT scores, the personal statement and references are reviewed, and applicants are ranked based on their academic grades. These applicants are invited to interview only if there are still available places after all UCAT/GAMSAT applicants have been interviewed.
Note: There is no UCAT cutoff, but SJT Band 4 applicants will be rejected.
The personal statement and references are reviewed in the first stage of the selection process but are not critical for deciding who is invited to interview.
