KMMS shortlists applicants based on a combination of academic entry requirements and UCAT scores:
The personal statement is not scored, but KMMS reviews statements and references of applicants who just missed the cutoff at each of the four assessment stages. Approximately 100 statements are reviewed per stage (400 in total) to consider exceptional achievements.
KMMS conducts in-person MMIs:
UCAT scores are used to shortlist applicants for interview. Minimum threshold for 2024–25 was 2,490 with SJT Band ≥ 3. Band 4 in SJT is discounted.
KMMS conducts in-person MMIs, including 6 short stations and a 40-minute group station. Interviews assess academic potential, resilience, teamwork, communication, and ethical understanding.
The personal statement is not scored but is read for borderline applicants to identify exceptional achievements. It may also be referenced during the interview.
Standard offer is AAB at A-Level, including Chemistry and/or Biology. Minimum *5 GCSEs at Grade 9-6 (A-B)**, including Maths, English Language, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
GCSE resits are allowed prior to application. A-Level or IB resits are only considered if there is clear evidence of extenuating circumstances.
